Coraline

This past weekend I went to the 3-D animated flick Coraline. The animation was incredible and kept me interested the entire time! (2 hours long). Although it may come off as a children's movie I wouldn't suggest taking really young kids. The action is pretty intense and scary. It is also pretty sad; Coraline is ignored by her parents completely, at one point they even remind her that her job is to "stay out of their way." Bordering on neglect Coraline also makes a friend with the neighbor boy Wybie...short for "why born." There isn't any real explanation for this abuse/neglect of the children and parts of the movie deals with some dead children's ghost. I enjoyed it, but I would categorize it as an older children's movie.
